I haven't remembered any dreams in a really long time with the exception of several snippets involving a spider on the wall or the ceiling. Um yeah, not really liking those dreams so much...
This one was from earlier in the week and is the one I remember the most clearly in a long while. There's a blogger I'm following who recently posted that she's in the hospital. And this is my dream:
I was standing in line at Walmart, waiting to pay for the items in my cart. While waiting for the person in front of me to finish, I was perusing the tabloids. What better way to pass the time, right? I opened one up and right there, in the tabloid, was a story about my bloggy friend being in the hospital. I was really shocked! Not because I didn't know she was in the hospital, because I did. What shocked me is that I didn't expect the tabloid to write about it. After finishing the story, I set it aside and picked up another tabloid, which also had a story about my bloggy buddy. Finally, it was my turn and as I was stacking my items on the belt thingie, I remember thinking, "Wow, who knew Juliana was so famous?"
When I woke up from that dream, my first thought was that she had died. I'm sure she hasn't. She may still be in the hospital or if she's not, she's probably still not feeling well. But each day that passes and she hasn't posted, that thought comes back to me. I hope she's ok.

co-worker dream
In addition to a lot of other stuff that I can't remember, I dreamed that I was at a doctor's office for some minor ailment. They sent in a nurse for my preliminary check-up, and I guess she had looked at my employment information because she said--very excitedly--"you work with Such-and-Such Male, right?" I said yes, and then she asked, "has he been around lately?", to which I replied that he had. She said, "oh, because he hasn't returned any of my calls. I keep trying to get ahold of him and leaving messages, and I haven't heard anything back." At that point I thought maybe I shouldn't have said that he'd been around. She finished up her exam, and before she left said, very insistently and enthusiastically, "tell So-and-So that if he wants to get together and do anything, go out or anything, I'm totally up for it".
Poor thing.
I related it to the coworker in question this morning, and he asked if I had been withholding any messages from him.

baby mama
about a week ago i watched "the business of being born" at a friend's request. i'm surprised it took a full week for my dreams to be influenced.
i was pregnant. there really wasn't any back story (like why i was pregnant, who the father was, etc). i was going in for a checkup at the hospital. my mother was with me. i went into labor. i was now in a wheelchair. i felt the contractions (this makes me wonder if i had gas last night? what was it that i was feeling?) i was then in an exam room (doctor office style) and waiting. The contractions kept coming closer. i knew it was time to have the baby, even though my mom was assuring me that i was overly optimistic and that there's no way it was going to be that quick. but i was sure. and then i reached down and felt the head (ewww) and then my mom started to believe me and tried to get the doctor's attention. my response? eh. we can do this. it'll be ok (that totally came from watching that documentary).
i remember thinking this really doesn't hurt that much. i mean, yeah, it hurts. but it's not THAT bad.
and then i woke up.
