Last night's marathon dream was atypical, in that I had apparently started on time and knew the route (there was an out-and-back stretch that I seemed to remember from other marathon dreams, apparently in a skyway of some sort). For some reason, however, I was running all by myself. It was only when I saw another runner on that out-and-back stretch that I knew for certain I was on the right course.
At some point, I ran into David and bummed money off him to buy some Sport Beans, as I'd forgotten to buy any of my own. He had started later and/or was running a shorter race, and said he was "taking a lunch break."

Marathon
It's officially marathon season: I've had my first marathon nightmare! This one wasn't very detailed, but involved me stopping, mid-route, at a church with my parents. There was a wedding going on and they were taking pictures. I remember looking out the window and seeing a single runner go by. I needed to get back to the place where I had left the route (about a mile and a half away), and I realized that running back to that place and continuing the route from there would add about three additional miles and would cost me too much time. I needed my parents to drive me back, and I couldn't seem to pull them away from the church. I had six hours to finish the entire race, and I figured I would barely make it.

Marathon
There was a new twist on this year's pre-marathon nightmares: I spent the night before the race feeling half-awake, "working" on the problem that the Twin Cities Marathon course map seemed to be conflated with the design for my timeline project. There were so many possible paths to take, and information to weigh for all of the different options! It was a relief to awaken from such torment--until I looked at the clock and realized it was 4:14 a.m. Thankfully, I was able to go back to sleep and get in a few more hours of (more restful) sleep.
